Amadeus

Moeller’s final theatre production of 2025 has come and gone to a well-met reception. The story of Amadeus shows Wolfgang Mozart struggles in Italy and eventual death, while following and narrated by his possible murderer Antonio Salieri. It brings a comedic embellishment to fascinating historical facts.

The Cast of Amadeus

Behind the scenes, Amadeus had some of the best qualities out of any show the Moeller theatre has produced; the highest honor of stage and production is to go unnoticed. The casting was well done; better choices couldn’t have been made. It brought newcomers like Ian Shannon into the spotlight while giving the all-star Ben Gill a pedestal of his own as the antagonist. The costuming was masterclass, every character seemed believable and enjoyable to look at. Lighting, sound, props, there were no noticeable issues- perfection.

Jacob Sieber Appeared as The Featured Pianist

Music can be underappreciated at times, despite giving character, emotion and depth to scenes in all types of media. This is where Amadeus shined the most. The incorporation and importance given to music is something unseen before. For a show about one of the world’s greatest composers, it makes sense. Still, it was a surprise to watch lone musicians, and the choir periodically take over and perform with the sole purpose of conveying the excellence of music. It highlighted the impact music had on Mozart’s life and gave a window to how musicians embody their music.
