C40M

Do you want to grow your faith during the Lenten season, but you’re not sure where to go? C40M is what you should try.

This small group-styled event is where the meetings are held weekly. This is where you meet with your fellow classmates to discuss your Lenten journey and how you can grow your faith. C40M also allows you to attend whenever you’re available.

Every week you will write a journal with weekly reflections and challenges that you’re facing. Where you read, reflect, and share with your peers and can be taught within the group to give you skills and advice on how to change for the better.

Prayer will be a big part of C40M. It’ll create a great impact to grow throughout your journey and especially your life. Fasting will be another big factor. It’ll show your commitment to the Lord and will create a stronger bond. They’ll help you create strategies on how to become more dedicated to situations when life gets hard. With the final step you will help the community by giving back to the people through donations and charity work.

I decided to reach out to two main people within Campus Ministry that have made an impact on C40M, EJ Turnbow and Mrs. Hais on how important C40M is to them and how it has grown their faith.

According to EJ, “Oh, I think students should join because honestly, it's just a really impactful experience, they kind of build their own relationship” he also made a statement about how separated away he was from God and that it’s helped him come back to him, “I had a rough relationship with God but last year when I joined, I think it improved my- experience and just overall made me think a little bit better than what I was thinking before.”

During my interview with Mrs. Hais on whether C40M has made an impact on her faith. “I would say it does, doing anything you do for God helps you grow in your faith and specifically C40M where you have readings and that’s where I think in scripture is where you grow closer to God so yes, I think it has.”

The main concern for people is do you have to be Catholic. And the answer is no. So, if you’re wanting to attend EJ states, “There's also still a couple of QR codes hanging around so just make sure you scan that QR code if possible or you can talk to a teacher about getting signed up for C40M.”

Will you be attending? If so, don’t be afraid to reach out to either of them their willing to help you out to build your faith within God and the Moeller brotherhood. Stop by Campus Ministry throughout the day for more questions if not able to shoot them a quick email. God Bless.
