Transition to High School
Everyone has gone through the first day of school before, from pre-school all the way to college but the most memorable school year is entering high school. On your first day of school, you’ll experience a new environment from witnessing classes getting harder; while making friends gets a little more difficult. However, it allows you to form yourself into the person you are. It outlines the image of how people view you. But how do you manage the amount of work you receive while having a lot of classes?
You do it by sitting down at night checking your MoeCampus and planning what to work on first. Don’t wait for the last minute to work on assignments because teachers know when you take your time and when you rush. And if you’re struggling to make friends, get involved (with activities, extracurriculars) But how do you get involved? You can get involved in many things, Moeller provides over 30+ clubs , there’s always sports you can try, or joining theater or the arts.
That’s how most kids find their friends which’ll help you learn more people outside of Moeller including girls from MND. Being smart through meeting new people doesn’t mean they’re the best kinds of people and their bad decisions can have a negative influence on you, so you have to sit back, and think, “Are these the people I want to be around?”
But to get by around school you must build connections, Building connections with the staff can boost your role as a person and can give you many benefits throughout your time in school, but getting on a teacher’s good side by being consistent on your work means that, teachers will respect you and put their trust in you if you prove, you’re a trustworthy type. It can also help with grades, being good with grades will give you rewards and when you get to senior year you can be exempt from your classes if you have 90’s and above, so working really hard is worth it for the results.
