Joey Kobos
What’s up boys, my name is Joey Kobos, and I am currently a Senior at Moeller High School. I lived and went to Lebanon for grade school before transferring to Little Miami to finish out grade school before coming to Moeller. I never even realized that Moeller was in my blood. My dad went to Moeller, 2 of my uncles went to Moeller, my grandpa went to Moeller and have a cousin who is currently at Moeller right now. Oh, and I forgot that my grandma went to MND which isn’t exactly Moeller, but Moeller is basically connected with the MND school for things like band, theater, and our cheerleaders for the football and basketball games. That was one of the reasons why I came to Moeller. Don’t worry, I have other reasons as well like the academics, the house system that they’ve developed, the staff members, the classrooms and of course the athletics. And don’t forget about the lunch food. Coming to Moeller, especially from a public school, was a great experience for me. Although the dress code, praying every day, and everything else from a private school was a bit different from my standards at a public school. Despite all the differences between a private school and a public school, the teachers were kind and supportive to helping you succeed to the next level. Whether it’s from learning what major you want, getting the prerequisites classes done to prepare for another class higher up, or even being closer to them socially. Whatever you guys are interested in from sports, video games, heck even Marvel or Dungeons and Dragon stuff, there is probably a teacher here to talk about those kinds of stuff. Besides my experience at Moeller, I am a part of the Lacrosse team and a student manager for the Basketball team here at Moeller. I hope to major in some type of engineering after this year in college.
In my free time, I like to play any type of sport you can think of but, I mostly like to play lacrosse, basketball and golf. I love to play video games on the Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and even on my phone. My favorite game that I love to play on my phone is this Spaceflight Simulator game where you can build rockets and fly them to explore space. Space is one of my favorite things to learn about. The rockets, the planets, the different missions, everything about space was intriguing to me as a kid. On the Nintendo Switch, I love to play Mariokart and on the Xbox, I love to play any sports game like NBA2K, Madden, MLB the Show, even FIFA and NHL.
During this school year, I am going to keep you guys updated with some of the things that are happening around the school during the year. I will also be talking about some of the cultural things that happen during this school year that the Moeller brotherhood brought to the table.
