Chase Gipson
My name is Chase Gipson, and I am from Atlanta, Georgia and moved up to Ohio in 4th grade. My parents were constantly looking for high quality education. So, I have been going to multiple grade schools since I was little. For 1st grade I went to Cumberland Christian Academy, for 2nd to 3rd grade, I went to Destiny Christian Academy; both of which were in Atlanta. Then, I went to Evendale Elementary for 4th to 5th grade, Adena Elementary for 6th grade, Lakota West for 7th grade, and St. Vivian’s for 8th grade. As of now, I am a senior at Archbishop Moeller High School. Going to Moeller has by far been the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. I really enjoy learning about Anatomy and other fields of science, and various sports such as soccer, baseball, and tennis. Ever since I started attending Moeller, I have made significant improvements in my social anxiety and have made worthwhile friends to spend time with.
A few years ago, I would have been too afraid to try anything out of my comfort zone, but now I am willing to help others overcome their own anxieties. I hope my senior year means a lot to me. I wish to make memories I will remember for the rest of my life and being able to look back on them with nostalgia. I hope to take part in opportunities my past self wouldn’t ever imagine. To make it better than the past, I want to focus more on my academics and encourage myself to jump at any interesting opportunities rather than stressing over the little things that shouldn’t even bother me. I also want to help others improve their own situations by overcoming their own anxieties.
In 5-7 years, I imagine myself to be a medical student training to become a doctor, so that I may be able to follow my dreams as well as help other people with their problems. Anatomy has always been one of my favorite subjects and I hope to have done something in that field in the future. After medical school, I hope to be working as a resident in a hospital, to improve the health of those who need it and help where I can.
