Mason Zerhusen

My name is Mason Zerhusen. I went to grade school at St. John the Baptist. At St. Johns I played soccer, baseball, basketball, and flag football my entire time there. From St. Johns, I convinced my parents to let me go to Moeller. While at Moeller I played two seasons of soccer and a season of rugby. Currently I am starting to take over my grandmother’s horse farm. I have spent most of the summer feeding, cleaning, trimming, and maintaining the horse farm while also helping St. Johns with different school and sporting events like festivals and refereeing soccer games. Which will continue throughout my senior year.

I want my senior year to go by as fast and as slow as possible. I am not a fan of school but seeing and making memories with friends in class is something that I will miss when I graduate. Also graduating from high school is one step closer to being fully independent which I don’t think I am ready for. One thing I am excited about this year is going out with my friends and serving the community. Not only to get hours to graduate but also to grow closer to God and help different organizations that need volunteers.

Most people have an idea of what they want to do down the road, but I do not have one idea set. The main idea that I have now is to go to college and study business, but I have always thought about joining the military. Joining the military would instill the discipline that I would need for life. Another idea that I have is going into a welding and joining a trade school. Overall, I do not have a vision for myself down the road and I plan on using this senior year to help me create a plan for my future.
