My name is Drew Macciocchi and I am beginning my Senior year here at Moeller High School. I have had a great time at Moeller, and it will forever be a special place. The bonds I have made with not only my fellow classmates, but also my teachers, is unmatched. Personally, I couldn’t imagine going to another school besides Moeller and I am thankful for the opportunity.
I have many hobbies and interests such as music, TV, sports, and spending time with family. I like all kinds of music from Elton John, Hall and Oates, and Queen in the 70’s and 80’s, to Kendrick Lamar, Gunna, and Eric Church. If I had to choose a favorite song of all time it would probably have to be “Money Trees” by Kendrick Lamar. I’ll listen to country, rap, and even some old-time rock music at any time.
I also love to watch TV and movies. My favorite TV series are Friends, Family Guy, and Breaking Bad. I could also sit on the couch and watch ESPN or MLB Network for hours and hours. A few of my favorite movies are The Goonies, Dumb and Dumber, and Ocean’s Thirteen. I am a big fan of heist/action movies, but I also love a good funny movie.
I play baseball for Moeller and in the summer for Cincinnati Baseball Club. I’ve played baseball since I was five years old and have loved it ever since. I play both infield and outfield, and my dream is to play division one college baseball. In my free time over the summer I love to play golf with my brothers and friends. Golf is my second favorite sport behind baseball.
I also love to fish and catch big large mouth bass. In the winter I play in an intense rec-basketball league with my friends. I am the youngest of four siblings and I have two brothers and one sister. One of my brother’s name is Brad and he lives in Nashville, Tennessee. My other brother Grant goes to Indiana University and plays baseball there as well. Finally, my sister Kayla goes to University of Kentucky and studies nursing.
I like to spend time with family because they aren’t home as much anymore, so when they are home it is always a good time. My parents always take us down to Florida each year and it is my favorite time of the year because we all are with each other for ten days or so after not seeing each other for a while.
I am not too big of a fan of school, but my favorite subject is probably either English or History. If I end up not playing baseball in college, I’d like to either go to University of Kentucky or somewhere down south where it is warm. I want to go far enough away where I am not a short drive from home but also not a long drive from home. I think the perfect distance would be about 2-5 hours away.
