What’s up fellas, my name is Maxwell Land, I am a senior at Moeller and I’m on the basketball team. Some of my hobbies outside of basketball are fishing, lifting, spending time with family/ friends, outdoor things, and swimming. My favorite subject in school is Science. I’ve got two younger brothers (Kingston and Geno) and two younger sisters (Malia and Gia). This will be my third year here at Moeller, my freshman year I attended Mason High School. Moeller has provided nothing but good and valuable times for me. I’ve made a lot of new friends and created great relationships with people around the Moeller family. This school has really shown me how to be a leader and respect others in a Marianist Way, through all the service, retreats, and situations that I have gone through here. Teachers, coaches, and faculty have really done their best to get the best version of myself each and every day. Moeller has taught me a lot of life lessons along the way that will stay with me as I move on into my future.
My favorite Moeller memory so far is winning my second state championship my junior year. It was such a special moment for my team and I because we worked so hard to go undefeated and accomplish our dreams for the season. Our school spirit was really shown those two nights, our whole student body and Moeller family was there to support us all the way through, and really gave us a boost. All the special moments playing in and winning the state championship with all of my brothers in front of our Moeller Family is something that will always be looked back at in my life because it was such a special moment for us.
I’m really excited for senior year, I’m looking forward to all the sporting events, dances, and just spending time with my friends. It’s crazy to think that this will be my last year in high school, I feel like I should still be a freshman. All the special times has really made my high school career fly by. I’m also looking forward to writing for the school paper. I think our news will take a big step up this year with better media and information about the great things happening in and outside of school. Gotta make this the best year yet. GO BIG MOE!
