Welcoming Moeller’s New President
Moeller High School has officially named Jason Niehaus as its new president, with his term beginning on February 3, 2025. A 1993 Moeller graduate, Niehaus brings over 25 years of leadership experience in healthcare and a strong history of service in education. His deep-rooted connection to Moeller is evident not only in his journey as a student but also through his family’s legacy—Jason’s father, Bob Niehaus, also graduated from Moeller in 1965. As he steps into the role of school president, he reflects on the profound impact the school has had on him. “Returning to Moeller is deeply personal for me. This school helped to shape my values, my character, and my faith. I am humbled and honored to lead this extraordinary community,” Niehaus said.
Niehaus’s professional career has been marked by leadership in healthcare, including executive roles at Trilogy Health Services in Kentucky and TriHealth in Cincinnati. He holds expertise in organizational management, strategic planning, and fostering mission-driven cultures. These values have shaped his career and will serve him well as Moeller’s new president. Jason also has a commitment to education, evident in his previous roles. He served as chairman of the board at Mount St. Joseph University from 2017 to 2019 and has been actively involved with Seton Catholic School in Hudson, Ohio. Additionally, he has contributed to several other school boards, further demonstrating his passion for educational leadership.
Bill Oeters, Moeller’s board chair and a 1976 graduate, expressed strong confidence in Niehaus. “Jason's combination of professional expertise, personal integrity, and deep connection to the Moeller family made him the ideal choice to lead our school," Oeters said. "We are excited to see his vision and leadership take Moeller to new heights while staying rooted in our Marianist values.”
Niehaus will succeed Carl Kremer, who served as interim president following the resignation of former president James Marshall Hyzdu in April 2024. This transition marks an exciting new chapter for Moeller’s community as the school continues to grow and thrive.
As Moeller welcomes Jason Niehaus home, the school looks forward to his vision, leadership, and commitment to fostering faith, character, and excellence—values that have defined Moeller for generations.
