Player Spotlight: Eli Jacon-Duffy
The Moeller Football Team was off to a slow start but have turned the season around with a record of 4-3 and winning the GCL south last Friday against Elder.
Star athlete Eli Jacon-Duffy sat down with The Crusader to discuss his senior year and his aspirations for college.
Eli Jacon-Duffy attended Little Miami for grade school and played football and basketball for the Panthers. Now, Eli is a senior here at Moeller High School, and he is very well known around the school for being a leader in Pillar House, a tremendous football player, and for his past Moeller High School family alums.
Jacon-Duffy created a name for himself in the football world after having a dominant season his junior year and earning Division I offers from 22 colleges. Even though he had a great junior year, Jacon-Duffy is now focused on the present: “This season has been great. Obviously, we didn’t start the way we wanted to, but it was mainly us coming together as a team before we started to win.”
Jacon-Duffy has already taken his football career to the next level by verbally committing to Bowling Green State University. Of his upcoming college play, Jacon-Duffy said, “I’m really excited about getting a chance to play at the next level, especially at a Division I school being really close to home. And hopefully being able to show off my talents at a young age.”
Jacon-Duffy has set his goals and is driving to have an electric final season with the football team here at Moeller.
A big thank you to Eli Jacon-Duffy for the chance to talk and best of luck to him and the Moeller football team!
