Terraria

Terraria is a video game made by the small indie company Re-Logic in 2011. It is a 2d survival game that can be played solo or with friends. Players can customize characters and generate a world where they can set the difficulty and edit things like the world size, world seed, and the type of evil in the world. Players can explore, craft, and fight many different enemies. In the vanilla version there are 33 different bosses and over 6000 unique items and the game has their own soundtracks for different areas of the game.

A lot of people say that terraria is just a 2d version of Minecraft. Some people say it’s better than Minecraft but others say it is worse. In my opinion I can see where people come from when they say Terraria is a 2d version of Minecraft. The 2 games are very similar with what they are about but there are 2 main difference in what players can do. In Minecraft there are only a few bosses that are not very difficult to beat and only a few different wepaons. In Terraria there are many bosses and many enemies that are very difficult to beat and there are also classes that have their own uniques weapons in them. The other main difference is the building. Building in Minecraft is better becasue f it being 3d and being able to create larger and more detailed builds gives it the edge. You can create cool things in Terraria that look very cool and took a lot of hard work to make but it can never be as complex or as detailed as Minecraft becasue it is limited by it being 2d. I don’t think this makes one worse or better than the other but I think it makes it so it depends on the type of player to decide which game it better.

Terraria is a very great game because of all the amazing element that make up the game. On of the most notable ones it the soundtracks for the game. Soundtracks are a very crucial part to game sas they add to the atmosphere and give more emotion to the game. Terraria has over 90 unique soundtracks for biomes, bosses, and events. Another reason Terraria is a greta game is all the weapons and armour in the game. This allow players to choose how they want to play. There are 4 different classes (melee, ranger, mage, and summoner) and tey all have weapons put into these categories. There are many complex weapons that ave complex crafting trees. There are also different sets of armor for each area of the game and each class that have different buffs and stats. There are also many different things that can be used like pets, accessories, and a wide variety of potions that change how the player can play the game. Outside of customizing how the character looks before loading into the world there are also many different customization options within the game. There are many different dyes and vanity items to customize how the players look. The art style of the game is very nice with it looking like 2d pixel art in a good way separates it from many other games that are released. One bad things people might say is that there is no cross play out which doesn’t allow them to play with friends on other consoles, but this is a bad claim because they are actively working on adding cross play right this moment. There is so much to talk about this game and why it is good but these many aspects that allow the players to customize their character and play the game any way they want to and the game has replay ability because of all the aspects of the game.
