The lacrosse team finished its season with a record of 10-7. Their final game ended in a one-point loss to Springboro in the State Tournament. They had an up and down season where they won games against good teams, but they lost to teams they shouldn’t have, according to player Jack Regruth.

The team lost seventeen seniors, including their starting goalie Landon Ladd (22), who averaged ten saves a game, and Zach Wendling (22), who led the team in goals with 28. However, the team has a lot of returning juniors, including the only returning captain Joe Ginnetti (23). Ginnetti led the team in combined assists and goals with 50 last year.

Other juniors returning include Benjamin Tinnemeyer (23), who led the team in groundballs with 50, and Tommy Stines (23), who lead the team in forced turnovers with 23. The team will also welcome back to sophomores who started last year, Brennen Hickey (24) and Noah Smith (24).

Captain practices have already begun this year and are being held a couple times a week, along with lifting three days a week. October 1st marks the start of box lacrosse (indoor lacrosse), which is a more physical game because it is played on a smaller scale and has smaller goals.

This season, the team will face a harder schedule, and Senior Jack Regruth predicts a good season with a longer run in the state tournament. The lacrosse season is something that all students at Moeller should be looking forward to.
