Moeller Basketball Starts Season 3-0

Moeller basketball is off to a strong start with an early winning streak!

The season opener was against Reynoldsburg High School in the Moeller Basketball Foundation Game, where the Crusaders collected their first win with a final score of 62-50. This was following by a second win over Western Hts. College Australia, with a final score of 75-35.

Earlier this week, the team clenched its third straight win against a tough Princeton team, ending 56-46. These early wins are even more impressive considering that there are several players out recovering from injuries. Once this team is at full strength, it looks to be a tough one to beat.

This year’s team also is benefitting from several returning athletes who saw lots of minutes last season and bring varsity court experience. AJ McBride, Eric Mahaffey, Kyle Havens, Noah George, Kingston Land, and Roman Mason are all returning to varsity. These athletes are joined by multiple players rising from JV this year, who are sure to strengthen the team this season.

Senior Forward Noah George said, “I think the season will be very exciting. We have a very tough schedule but wouldn’t want anything less. As long as we keep working, it’ll be a great and rewarding season.”

The Crusaders will travel to St. Vincent-St. Mary High School this Saturday, December 9th, and the game will begin at 1:45pm. The next home game is scheduled for Saturday, December 16th against Gamble Montessori. Good luck and may the winning streak continue!!
