Moeller Cross-Country

The Moeller Cross-Country team, led by Coach Prenger. is off to a strong start this year, placing fourth for varsity beating Loveland.

Last year set the tone for the team, and there seems to be rising stars amongst the underclassmen. Although the cross-country team has only had one meet, the group looks very promising for the rest of the season.

Cross-country runner Owen Brennan said, “I think cross country will have a strong season this year, potential for first or second in the GCL.” Another member of the team, Colin Swallender, stated, “We have very strong top seven guys, especially top 5, that run well in pack together. Also, great coaches – Coach Prenger, DiCristiforo, and Paul Mallot.” The coaches always push the team to run their hardest. They’ve doubled their workout runs and moved up their mileage during practices.  They also create great relationships within the team, which improves team morale.

The underclassmen are stellar this year, and they’ve been working very hard to shoot their way to the highest of places in the GCL. The team’s consistency in talent, as well as the leadership from Max Maney, will surely elevate their chances of taking first place. There are very high hopes for the cross-country team this year, especially with the more than exceptional work ethic and talent across the board.

There will be a race this weekend at Lebanon and with the current roster, Moeller Cross-Country will give them a tough time. Good luck Cross-Country!
