Ted Lasso Is As Good As Homemade Biscuits
Ted Lasso was created by the company Apple TV, and won some amazing awards, like Theo Park for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series, and Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The 1st season of Ted Lasso won 7 Emmy awards, but I would say that Season 2 would get more than 7 awards in the next Emmy’s because of the different setting, emotions, and lessons than the first one.
Season 2 had some of the main cast have their lives kicked into horrifying moments, but there was always someone acting like a goalie and saving their day. In Season 1, that was mostly Ted, but in Season 2 other characters were given more in depth attention.
However, in the second half of that season, they dove into a serious worldwide problem, mental health. It started with a major character breaking down, followed by other characters becoming either friends or foes based on their reaction to said character’s breakdown.
Season 2 Episode 10, No Weddings and a Funeral, is the best episode and most depressing one, but is shows mental health is important. It shows that even though you could lose people that you trust or get looked at differently, there is always someone that you can tell anything, while still having a great relationship. However, the show also depicts the times when the ones we trusted and gave our time time to will have to leave. Sometimes learning that life isn’t fair is a staggering realization.
As Lasso said in the show, "I promise you there is something worse out there than being sad, and that's being alone and being sad. Ain't no one in this room alone."
My review of Ted Lasso is that it can produce more awards and more impressive shows and that really means something for Apple TV. For Ted Lasso I believe that it is interesting that since Season 1 ended the relationship with Ted’s wife and son isn’t in his life in Season 2. While the relationship between Nate and the club dissolves overtime.
Season 3 is scheduled to begin shooting on January 31, 2022. According to Parade, there are going to be 12 full episodes and it will be the final season of the 3 part trilogy.
