The Robots Are Coming!

The robot master race is coming, and while we may not be prepared, there is a group of six students who— when the robots inevitably take over—will know what to do!

Robotics Club Member JP Schuette

Robotics is a newer club at Moeller whose purpose is to allow students to creatively design, create, and test robots all designed to accomplish a different task. If this sounds too difficult to you to try out, don’t worry! The club does a great job explaining the basics, and the smaller cub size allows for time to ask lots of questions. Additionally, both Mr. Leugers, the club’s sponsor, and student leaders are happy to help newer members acclimate. A major goal of the club is for every member to fully understand the creation and design process, which allows all students who participate to maximize their creative potential.

Any student who is interested in math and science should visit Mr. Leugers’s room during M-Block to take the first steps into becoming an engineer. The club is looking to expand to twelve members in order to compete against other schools and put their designs to the test.

Robotics Club Member Ethan Clark.

The group has spent most of the past year gaining funding, doubling their members, and creating more fun and entertaining things for the members to do, such as mini soccer with the robots and capture the flag. While more math based than other clubs, it still an excellent experience that is worth checking out!
