House Soccer Championship
The House Soccer Championship was the talk of the school, with Trinity House going up against the undefeated Pillar Gorillas on October 17th at the back soccer field. Everyone was hyped up for what many were calling the game of the century.
Trinity had a wild season filled with ups and downs, but they really fought hard to make it to the championship. Pillar, on the other hand, had an impressive record of 5-0-1, largely thanks to their star player, Lucas Fearn, who had scored in every game he played. While Fearn was a force to be reckoned with, some fans believed Pillar might be beatable without him. In an interview, Lucas confidently predicted a 3-0 win for Pillar, claiming he’d score two goals and Noah Mitchell would grab the other. He even mentioned that the game would start slow before picking up speed.
Trinity, led by captain Odin Woods, was ready to challenge Pillar. Coach Peters from Pillar was pumped for the game and believed his team would come out on top.
When the whistle blew, the energy was electric. Both teams battled fiercely, with Trinity putting up a solid defense against Pillar's aggressive offense. In the end, Pillar took the win, finishing 2-1. Lucas Fearn was the standout player, scoring both goals despite Odin’s best efforts to keep him in check. Odin later admitted that he tried everything to stop Lucas, but his shots were just too powerful.
After the match, Coach Peters praised Trinity as the toughest team they’d faced all season and gave a shoutout to the awesome student section for giving them a lot of energy. Odin shared the same thoughts, saying it was the hardest game he’d ever played and that there was a lot of energy in the game.
The turnout was fantastic, showing how much support both teams had from the community. Many people think that this could be Pillars last year of dominance because they will be losing Lucas Fearn. Many believe Trinity could be ready to reclaim the throne next season, setting the stage for an exciting future in house soccer!
