Moeller Prom

Moeller Prom is an annual event held each April for junior and senior students, and this year it took place on April 25 at the Manor House, a large community center in Mason, perfect for a large student crowd. A requirement for the dance is that every student must bring a female date who is also in high school. The event runs from 8:30 to 10:30 PM, and students are required to stay for the full time. To encourage good behavior, a random breathalyzer test is given, making sure it is a safe and responsible environment. Ticket prices have risen to $100 per couple, which has been a concern for some students considering whether to go.

This year’s prom introduced some new things, including poker cards and poker chips, giving students an extra activity to do. Many students said the DJ was great and he played a good mix of classics and new music. Manor House provided snacks and beverages to ensure students were taken care of. The venue was decorated with white tabletops and decorations to enhance the look of the prom. For many seniors, this was one of the last major school events to enjoy with friends before graduation. Which is why there is usually a larger amount of seniors at prom then juniors.

The Moeller prom is a historic event that Moeller holds, and it gives the students a lot of responsibility to do the right things, especially to the seniors. It is a time when you can take your thoughts off school, have an enjoyable night with your high school friends, and leave memories here at Moeller.
