The Best Classes to take at Moeller

• AP Statistics

AP Stats gives credit for an AP class while having simple math concepts and being fun to learn. It’s much easier than other math classes, gives AP credit, and is a simple class. Mr. Prugh changes the class from just an easy AP to a fun and interesting class to take.

• CP1 English

Freshman year especially, CP1 English is an amazing class to take. Classmates and the teacher can change the results, but many people have had some of the most fun in a class while in freshman year English. It’s where you can learn the basics and foundations of future English classes while being able to mess around with friends as well.

• Cincinnati History

Cincinnati History is a very fun class with Mr. Laake as the teacher. Instead of being forced to learn to get a good grade, this is made to be fun and exciting but also very informational. There are also fun events like a field trip and a food day, which allow you to see new things like the Underground Beer Tour in Over-the-Rhine. This class is a unique experience, offering new knowledge about Cincinnati that you never knew.

• AP Human Geography

This is another easy AP class and it’s fun to learn about cultures around the world and memorize the names of countries. Mrs. Boggess is also a super fun teacher. There are a lot of new graphs to learn as well, but each lesson is interesting and teaches you more about the world.

• Gothic and Horror Literature

Mr. Bennett teaches this fun class. It’s basically an excuse to watch horror movies during school, and the work for the class isn’t that hard. Some of the reading assignments aren’t great, but the upsides to this class heavily outweigh the downsides. Do NOT use AI on any assignment no matter what. Also, do NOT complain about anyone who got away with using AI.

• Study Hall

Study Hall is a nice way to get homework done, get extra sleep, or to give yourself time to relax. It’s a very convenient class to take, and pairs well with taking online CCP classes, since it offers a flexible schedule while still giving good credit if you take an online CCP class through UC.

• Business and Excel

This is one of the most underrated classes at Moeller. Not many people know about it, but it’s an amazing way to get ahead of others by getting an excel certification. And throughout the semester that this class is taken, every class will have around half an hour of free time.

• AP World History

AP World was one of my favorite classes junior year, partly because of the material in the class, but mainly because of Mr. Tivin. He was a great teacher, and even though it was his first year teaching, he made the class extremely fun while also teaching the class better than most teachers could. He’s also a great person. He is very lenient with assignments and curves the tests to help keep your grades up. There was an assignment that I wasn’t going to have time to finish, partly because I was busy, and partly because I was underprepared for it. I asked him if I could turn it in late, and he let me, even though he didn’t have to at all. This is a fun class with an awesome teacher.
