The Premier League is on Top

My story starts when I was 3 years old. My mom took me to my first ever soccer practice at Scott Gallagher. I was in love with soccer after that, I was dedicated and went to every practice.

Then came the last 5 minutes of the city county championship my 8th grade year. This was my last chance to win this tournament. The score was 1-1, and my team found the back of the net after a good combination of passes. The opposing team came out firing in the few moments left in the game. their striker got a slip pass played through and was taken out in the box for a penalty kick. He lined up for the kick as I get set to attempt to save the shot. The ref blows his whistle, and the forward shoots. I make the big time save and secure the victory for my team. Seconds later, the game is over, and I get dog piled. It was an amazing hard-fought victory and one of my most cherished soccer memories.

My experience with soccer has been growing since I was young. I have had a wide variety of coaches that have all benefited me in different ways. My credibility for this topic is more than adequate. I have been playing soccer my whole life and watching Premier League when I found my favorite team in it. Which is Chelsea I got to see them play at Busch stadium in St. Louis Missouri against Manchester city. They won the game, and their goalie Peter Czech had some game winning saves the score was 2-1. I had an amazing time with my dad after that night we would try to always watch Chelsea play.

Is the English Premier League the best professional league in the world? Do the other leagues match the effective style of play?  Some may say that the EPL’s quality of play is matched in Spain’s La Liga, Germany’s Bundesliga, and Italy’s Serie A.

The talent in professional soccer across the world is unmatched. New and young prodigies are popping up every day. Leagues outside of England have 1 or 2 powerhouse teams that win almost every year. You could say that about the preimer league as well.  But the teams playing for the next places on the table are an absolute battle everything must be earned. All games around the leagues are top class, those who say otherwise are wrong. But it is who is winning the major trophies and doing it consistently. The win ratio of between the top clubs of the Premier League and the bottom club stands at a meagre 1.54:1. It stands at 12.5:1 at the La Liga and 10:1 in the Serie A. This means that the matches between the highest and lowest EPL clubs in the standings are closer than their European counterparts.

What 3 things separate the top teams in the Premier League from the top teams in the other professional leagues? In my opinion money, head coach, and talent.

The Premier League started in 1992. The need for exquisite soccer players is high because bringing in new names to the club helps the team grow and change. New talent is being found every day around the world. Signing new players increase the team’s chances of lifting a trophy. Winning teams make their money from broadcasting rights, merchandise, and ticket sales. Which then goes towards Signing new players it’s an interchanging cycle of which team gains the most cash. The most well-funded teams in professional soccer are… Manchester United. Based in Manchester, England and it is the most highly decorated soccer team in the world. The team's colors are red, white, black, and blue and they are currently valued at $3 billion dollars. Real Madrid is valued at $1.8 billion dollars and the organization is so successful that it generates close to $700 million dollars a year. Arsenal F.C. is situated in London, England. Arsenal Football Club is priced at $1.3 billion dollars, and it generates $364 million a year in profits.

The head coach must be more elite than the players on the pitch. There must be a game plan for every game to ensure that opposition are not able to score while finding a way to create opportunities towards goal on the other end of the field. Making key subs and having a roster deep enough which will have a deeper impact. Sir Alex Ferguson is a great example. Ferguson was appointed manager of Manchester United in November 1986. During his 26 years with Manchester United he won 38 trophies, including 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, and two UEFA Champions League titles. He was knighted in the 1999 Queen's Birthday Honors list for his services to the game. Ferguson is the longest-serving manager of Manchester United, having overtaken Sir Matt Busby's record on 19 December 2010. He retired from management at the end of the 2012–13 season, having won the Premier League in his final season.

You cannot make talent. Talent is something you have, or you don’t its quite simple. Hard work and dedication plus talent is the formula for a winning team. Finding guys that play off each other’s strengths with high Soccer IQ is a must when Premier League teams are looking for players. You cannot win a match without scoring goals that’s why talent is so crucial. That creativity aspect of the game, the free flow of play. Players like Jack Grealish, Curtis Jones, Josh Sargent, Christian Pulisc, Mason Mount. These are just a few of the up-and-coming top players of the Premier League.
