What’s the Better Student Section Football or Basketball?
What’s the best student section to be in football or basketball? They both have their attributes but with the atmosphere of a Friday night football game it doesn’t get much better. The crisp fall air with the band going or the intense atmosphere being up close to the players on the basketball court is a tough decision. The question I would ask is would you rather be in the student section of a Moeller X football game or basketball game.
With a high school football game, especially in Cincinnati, it tends to draw a larger crowd then a basketball game does. The scale of the football section also just has the advantage most of the time against the basketball student section. Watching your boys go and destroy someone on a football field gets hype and especially when it’s a bunch of guys you don’t like yourself (X guys).
Being in a basketball student section is a lot different than a football student section even though you’re doing the same things. What basketball has against football is that you are up close to the players and it’s easier to be heard when you’re in a basketball gym. The size of the student section won’t probably be as good as football, but your impact could be greater because of how close to the players you are.
In conclusion both student sections are the biggest in high school sports. Talking tp guys around the school, the opinion is that the football student section is better. Glen Kitchen Moeller senior says, “Football student section is better because there are more people, and the student section gets a lot crazier during football games.” They are both electric, especially at Moeller High School, so you can’t go wrong either way, but we can see that most people like the football student section better.
