Top 10 Catholic Grade School Gyms (Cincinnati)

St. Dominic Gym

1.      St. Dominic

-          St. Dominic is undoubtedly the number one grade school gym in Cincinnati. It’s known for its unique court design, which adds a lot of points for being visually stunning. The court is spacious enough, which allows for a great experience for players and people watching the game.

2.      Guardian Angels

-          Ranked second due to not only it’s appearance but also because it’s the best maintained playing surface in the city. A more modern day gym that players don’t slip on because of the great maintenance. The polished hardwood plus the scoreboard make it an easy fan favorite.

3.      Our lady of Victory

-          Very well-kept gym with plenty of space. Victory has held many tournaments and big events that people always seem to enjoy. The court is great, the seating is also great.

4.      Visitation

-          A historic and frequently used gym for Cincinnati basketball. The presence of the two gyms is great for tournaments and events, being able to play more than one game at a time. The main gym is obviously the highlight though, great vibe and good playing surface.

5.      St. Ignatius

-          Another unique court design, just an overall fun place to play. Great events held here as well.

6.      Cardinal Pacelli

-          A high quality, polished gym that stands out despite being one of the smaller gyms in the city. It’s a well-run facility, seeming to always be in perfect playing condition. It’s consistent quality and simplicity make it a solid top 10 pick.

7.      St. Susana

-          Recent renovation improved this gym dramatically. The newer hardwood floor is a major upgrade, making St. Susana feel more playable and modern than most other grade school gyms.

8.      St. Lawrence

-          The most unique setup on this list. The court sits lower than the surrounding seats, which creates a mini arena atmosphere. The great bleachers and layout make playing here a memorable time. Only low on this list due to the lack of court quality and weird lighting.

9.      St. Jude

-          While being somewhat basic, this gym makes the list due to it’s size. The spacious setup just makes the playing experience better.

10.  Our lady of Lourdes

-          The lighting in this gym sit well with me, making this a top 10 gym. The court itself isn’t special but the aesthetic surrounding makes this the last spot on the list.
