Charlie Nelson

My name is Charlie Nelson, I grew up in Loveland, Ohio and went to St. Columban for grade school. I have two older sisters that went to the same grade school as me. My older sister just graduated college and is now in the workforce, while my other sister is currently at Ohio University as a junior. I have always had interests in sports. In my early days I liked baseball the most, I enjoyed hitting the ball as far as possible and all I did was swing as hard as I could. I was homerun or strikeout and there was no in-between for me. I got hurt playing baseball and that was it for me. I then found that I loved basketball. I was a big kid for grade school so early on it came easy to me, as the sport got faster, I started to enjoy it even more because of how reactive the sport became. I loved how you could freestyle it and it was a way for me to display my creativity. I got to high school and realized there were a lot better basketball players than me and I decided to put all my focus on football.

In my senior year here, I hope to accomplish two things. The first thing I want to accomplish is to win a state championship in football. We have come close the last few years but never brought home the trophy. I have been working hard this past year to attain the goal this time around. The second thing I want to accomplish is to figure out where I want to go to college, I have a few possible options, but I’m having a tough time narrowing down the schools that I want to go to.

In the future I plan on attending college. Like I was saying in the last paragraph I am not totally sure what college I want to go to, but I know I want to study either real estate, business or finance. I am excited to see who I meet in college who could potentially be lifelong friends. Having a family is something that I am extremely
