Carson Nahrup

My name is Carson Nahrup. I am part of a family of five. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and I still live in Loveland, Ohio. I grew up playing many sports. The sport my family and I landed on was volleyball. My family and cousins have played volleyball making it easier for us to spend time with each other. My brother went to St. Francis to play division one volleyball. I went to St. Columban for grade school along with my siblings and cousins. However, the biggest part of my life that I have been participating in pretty much my entire life is 4-H. I show lambs that live on my grandparent’s farm down the street. I have shown since I was nine and became very competitive across the country these past two years.

I believe my senior year is going to be my favorite year. I’m excited to see how it turns out with all the things I am participating in. For the remainder of my senior year, I plan to finish out this season of lamb showing strong at my national shows in the fall. In winter, I plan to start back up with finding and buying new lambs for the upcoming summer. I am also playing club volleyball this winter. I’m play for Cincinnati attack for my last year and will travel to play. I hope that is a successful and fun year. Come spring, I will play for Moeller Volleyball. I want to help get our team a state championship for my final year here. I plan to make my senior year better by putting in the work while also having fun and not taking the moments for granted.

Once my senior comes to an end, I plan on staying involved with 4-H and my farm. I have not decided whether I want to go to college or not yet. If I do decide to go, I want to go to whether The Ohio State University or Miami University. I would study business at Miami and agriculture at Ohio State. If I decided not to go to college. I would start building relationships in the 4-H community to get my name out there so in the future more people will come to me for help or to buy lambs. Early out of high school I want to also work for my dad’s construction company, HuDawn. I believe working for that company and working on my farm can give me the best life lessons I could think of for later down the road in my life.
