Danny Kelly

Before Moeller, I attended St. Mary’s school in Hyde Park Cincinnati. It is where my dad went and my family lives a few blocks away so there was really nowhere else, I would go. I live in a house with my mom and dad, my sisters lucy and Josie, and my little brother JJ. I am also neighbors with my grandparents and uncle so I’m up there every day. In grade school I played baseball and basketball. Almost all my grade school friends went to St. X, so I was one of two kids to go to Moeller from St. Mary’s.

Since I’ve been at Moeller I have played basketball for four years, played house soccer, coached house basketball, been a house captain and mentor group captain, participated in little buddies, and led freshman day of service, and went on Kairos. I have taken 5 AP classes along with a bunch of honors classes, most of them business/finance related. Basketball has taken up most of my time at Moeller. I wouldn’t trade it for anything and have made most of my friends through it.

My favorite memories at Moeller are any type of school sporting event. The environment of packed-out game truly shows off the brotherhood at Moeller. The environment is like no other. It’s even crazier to play in one of those games. It tops it all off by singing the fight song after games.

My future plans after Moeller are to go to college and study finance and hopefully play basketball. I’m not sure where I’m going yet but some options are Miami (OH), UC, Dayton, and Duke.
