I was born in Chicago into an Argentinian family and lived there for 6 years then moved to a small town in Indiana called Columbus. I stayed in Columbus until 6th grade and moved during the pandemic and started 7th grade at St. Susanna. I remember being very scared moving to a different state again and trying to make new friends mostly when everyone had a mask on and people already had their friend groups. I surprising found my place pretty quick and had a really good 7th and 8th grade year making friends with people that I am still good friends with today. When it came time to picking a high school I was already set on Moeller because my brother was a sophomore at the time and I was already familiar with the dynamics of sports and I loved the school so much.
At Moeller I played soccer for all 4 years and won the GCL every year I played. My sophomore year we were ranked number one in the nation for a few weeks until the state final where we lost to St. Ignatius. Both my Freshman and Junior year we made it all the way to the state semi-finals with winning records. My senior year we never conceded a goal in any GCL game. During the summer before my senior year, I participated in a service trip to Guatemala with Imagine Guatemala, where we helped build two homes for families who previously did not have a home. The experience challenged me to step outside my comfort zone and showed me the impact of hands on service and working closely with a community different from my own. In my junior year, I also took part in the Little Buddies program, mentoring younger children from less fortunate backgrounds. Through this experience, I learned the importance of patience, responsibility, and being grateful for my situation.
My favorite Moeller memory is when we beat Henry Clay 5-2 my junior year. I remember going into the game scared because they were favorites for winning the Kentucky state championship and they had a lot of good players that we knew about. In the first few moments of the game we got scored on going down 1-0. Shortly after we tied it making it 1-1. Then there was a penalty for them and I saved it. In that moment I remembered feeling so relieved and filled with energy. That was the shift in the game, then we started to pile goals onto them.
After college, I plan to attend The Ohio State University, where I intend to major in Health Sciences on a pre-med track and minor in Finance. I want to do something in the medical field because I have always been interested in the functions of the body and with the business world.
