Jake Smith

As Moeller senior Jake Smith says, “Nothing changes if you don’t do something about it,” and he lives this out every day. Whether it’s hanging out with friends, dirt biking in his free time, or going fishing with his classmates, he lives his life to the fullest. His favorite class is history, because he is passionate about learning the truths and stories that lay within. Outside of activities and school, he owns two businesses that he started on his own.

In his family, Jake has a mom, dad, sister, and two stepsisters. His dad being a vice president at a Signet Jewelers, a jewelry company has influenced him heavily. Coming from Liberty Township, he chose Moeller high school because of the opportunities academically and the strong community it offers.

Outside of school, Jake is passionate about sports, church, and especially his two jobs. During high school, he started both car detailing and garage refinishing business. Both companies have shaped who Jake is today as well as his future goals and career choices. He has not only learned a new part of his personality from these jobs, but both were also critical to becoming more independent in life.

As somebody who travels a lot, this has also affected Jake’s life and even his daily habits. His favorite notable trip is the adventure in Caraco, which is within a cluster of islands in the Caribbean Sea.

For Jake, it seems like the sky is the limit. Starting two companies before graduating high school, dirt biking in his free time, or spending time with his family have all contributed to the characteristics that make up Jake Smith. Nothing changes if you don’t do something about it.
