Last week, the juniors at Moeller High School elected the 2022 school captains. The young men, Michael Antaki, Ethan Coe, Jonathan Sanchez, and Brennan MortonStrauss were elected for this role of leadership.

All of these guys are determined to make Moeller a great place to be, especially after this current year of Covid-19. As a school captain, you are often seen as the big brother to the younger students. Coe stated, "I want to help the incoming guys, comfort them, and help them get used to the school." MortonStrauss agreed saying, "My goal is to take the underclassmen under my wing, like the past school captains have done to me."

When it comes to the past school captains, the incoming leaders all claimed to have looked up to Peyton Bambauer and John Feldcamp. Antaki states, "Back in 2018, I knew Peyton and Feldkamp pretty well, they taught me how to be a leader."

All four of next years captains stressed that they wanted to be positive leaders of the school like the students they looked up to as underclassmen.

As a school captain you have to be a good role model with good qualities. Sanchez said he will do that by working hard, "As an athlete, I know how to work hard with good determination and dedication. We're going to aim for our goals and go straight at it.”

Peyton Bambauer and John Feldkamp were great school captains. They were great organizers, good students, and had a personal connection with a majority of the school. Peyton and John managed to set the stage for these incoming captains, and I can already see the preparation and energy that these 4 bring to the table.
