The Crusader had the opportunity to talk with a few of the students who participated in National Signing Day, starting with AJ McBride.

Crusader: What drew you to Niagra University?

McBride: The environment and the campus, and I just wanted a new experience.

Crusader: How would you describe the process and experience of your college search?

McBride: It was stressful because it is a huge, life-changing decision. It was super tense for me and my family.

Crusader: What were the key things you were looking for in a school?

AJ: I wanted a college where I could display my talent and play my first year. I wanted a school where I could make a difference for my team.

The second commit The Crusader talked with was Brennen Hickey, who signed with Cleveland State University for Lacrosse.

Crusader: What drew you to this school?

Brennen: My family is from Cleveland, and I have always loved the city. Also, I have always wanted to play D1 lacrosse.

Crusader: What was the process of your college search?

Brennen: It wasn’t a hard decision when I got the offer to play at Cleveland State. I was looking for a strong program.

Crusader: What were the key things you were looking for in a school?

Brennen: I was looking for a school that had a ton of educational options. I wanted a school that was affordable because I have to pay for my own college, and I wanted to be in a comfortable position to do so.

Congratulations to all of the student athletes who celebrated their college decision on National Signing Day!
