Get Involved Now: Moeller Teams up with Blue Ash American Legion
Men Of Moeller,
As Moeller Students, we are all pushed to be involved in something outside of school. This could be the sports team you really want to be on, the service opportunities you are provided with, or even the club you and your buddies want to try to get into. All of these are great options, along with great ways to spend your time outside of school!
Most recently, seniors Alex Weisgerber and Jack Bissmeyer have started a club which has paired up with the Blue Ash American Legion branch to provide students with the opportunities to go into the community and help the amazing people that served our country. This program not only provides students an opportunity to earn gold service hours, which makes this a great opportunity for seniors who need hours to graduate, but also affords students an opportunity to meet veterans and listen to the stories they have to share. The service you will do as a student could be as simple as having a conversation with an amazing veteran. Another example of what you may do is physical service such as yardwork, or even serving warm meals at the once a month meeting the Legion holds.
Quickly, I would like to recognize the connection that the Moeller class of 2023 has with the United States Military. Three Students will be attending the Air Force Academy. One will be attending the Naval Academy, one will attend Airforce, and one will be attending West Point. Outside of these students, you can expect a few to enlist directly into our military. Please join me in congratulating these men in their remarkable achievements and all their hard work and courage.
Meetings for the American Legion Club will occur only once a month, typically in the evenings or on holidays (most notably Veterans’ Day). Everyone should make an effort to get out and serve!
