Junior Retreat

The Moeller Juniors took their last retreat of the year with an open heart and an open mind this February.

Cale Migal provided some insight on what the retreat meant to him and how the retreat impacted his group. “Junior retreat was a great experience for me and I enjoyed the time I spent sharing about my life and participating in my small group,” Migal said.

At Junior retreat, students have multiple opportunities to connect with one another and share their faith journeys. Migal explained the impact retreat had saying, “My faith has been something I sort of kept quiet and to myself, but small group definitely allowed me to open up about it and what my mindset was on my faith. Junior retreat allowed me to rethink the way I practice my faith and how I put it into practice.”

One important thing to note is that what happens in the small group on your retreat is a unique experience and should not be shared with others. The small group is a safe place to express pain, joy, and any other experience life has thrown at you. “I enjoyed the balance to it all, and I definitely got a lot out of Junior Retreat. Being away from school and life was a refreshing change of pace”, Migal shared.

Junior Retreat also provides an opportunity to disconnect from your phones and experience life outside of social media. So many of us are tied to our phones and cannot imagine life without them. Giving that up for just one day can really change a perspective on life and on yourself.

For underclassmen considering or looking forward to Junior Retreat in the coming years, show up ready to detach for a while and experience life with a small group. Go in with an open heart and an open mind to all possibilities on Junior Retreat.
