C40M
“I am excited to be able to have the support of others in my Lenten journey.” That is what Moeller senior Jonny Hesketh had to say about C40M. C40M is a remarkable thing for students who want to dive deeper into their faith. It is run through Campus Ministry and led by Mr. Graham. It is also a way that Moeller students can grow with each other and keep each other accountable.
C40M is an extracurricular at Moeller where students meet once a week during the Lenten season. Students can either sign up through the email sent out to them, or they can sign up using the QR codes that are around the school, especially in the commons. On the form, students will put what times they would be available to meet, which will determine which group they are in. They will also cite a faculty member that they believe could be a good facilitator and leader for the small group. They will then meet at whatever day and time they put each week, and they are able to help hold each other accountable for keeping their promises during the Lenten season. For most people, Lent is mostly a time where people make promises or give something up. While this is an important aspect, C40M offers a way to make Lent even more memorable and meaningful.
The small groups help provide the students and facilitator with time to discuss God. It also serves as a time for self-reflection, and students have journals that they are encouraged to write in. This not only helps strengthen your relationship with God, but also your relationship with other students at Moeller. It is a fantastic opportunity for students to grow deeper in their faith. C40M also provides challenges. These challenges can vary and are specific. During the small group discussions, the students also talk about how they are conquering the challenges that have been given to them by their facilitators. They also support each other if they are struggling with overcoming the challenges.
C40M is a wonderful opportunity that students at Moeller can utilize to help grow their faith during the Lenten season. It offers a way for spiritual growth and support during the meetings. That is why it does not just strengthen your faith, but it also strengthens the relationships that you build with your small group members. It is a fantastic way for students to get more involved at Moeller. C40M is a wonderful experience that helps make Lent more meaningful and impactful and experience it on a deeper level with your peers.
