Where Do All These Photos Come From?
One of the unique features of Zaragoza house is that we have four very talented photographers. These four have been growing more important to the house throughout the last few years.
Zaragoza’s photographers started working in 2022 as now senior Diegan Lyons began shooting photography. Prioritizing sports photography, his photos have been an important part of the school these past few years. His images have seen use from Moeller social media, and he’s amassed a significant Instagram following on his own social media. All this has culminated as Diegan worked with fellow senior Hunter Burke on Moeller Football: The Brotherhood.
Just last year two more Zaragoza students started doing more photography, also getting their starts in sports. Luke Sobolewski (Junior) and Jacob Gath (Senior) both began shooting in the fall of 2024. These two have both done some great work shooting for sports, Moeller events, and other things. Jacob said, “Photography at Moeller has opened so many doors for me, a big thanks to the athlete office for giving me that opportunity”
Our final house photographer is Senior Thomas Dyjack, who started just this past summer. He’s putting his focus on school and house events rather than sports photography. Although he’s been taking photos for less than a year, Thomas has a lot of success, especially within the house. He takes photos at Mass, during house events like MoeGate, and other events around the school. This last fall both Thomas and Jacob received awards at the UC Blue Ash regional photography exhibition. Jacob has also received two national awards for his photography.
Our house has been blessed with some great photographers who’ve added a lot to our house’s culture. These guys have really become an integral part of our house and their work will continue to boost house spirit and make the house something important to all of us.
