Eveslage House Basketball

With house basketball underway we truly get the best out of all the houses. The competitive nature of house basketball lives throughout the school through fun yet serious competition. Eveslage came out to a 2-2 start and are looking to capture a couple more wins before the playoffs.

Coaches Landen Adams and Cooper Mcutchan precisely picked out teams from a strong roster of former basketball players and other star athletes. Carson Fuherer, former Moeller hooper, has been a great addition to the team proving his dominance throughout the first 4 games of the season. With leader Liam Breidenbach out for the season, the team will have to fill the gap potentially with some standout underclassmen. There are also murmurs in the locker room between coaches and staff that senior Cohen Fugate may see his first start of the year.

After a first game loss to Quiroga, Eveslage quickly rebounded with a win over Mrs. Bogess’s Zaragoza Lions. Carson Fuherer sees his first minutes and shows his dominance as well as asserting himself as the best shooter in the House Basketball League. Points also coming from “Z-Whit” (Zach Whitenbaur) also helped to extend the lead and bring Eveslage the first win of the year.

There is plenty of work still to be done for the eagles this season. There needs to be a large step-up from skilled underclassmen to bring a trophy back home to Eveslage. If the Eagles can squeak out a couple more wins before the regular season ends, they are looking at a good chance of a finals appearance and potentially a House Basketball Championship.
