Mrs. Boggess and Zaragoza’s House Sport Dominance

At Archbishop Moeller High School, Mrs. Boggess has built a strong and competitive culture within Zaragoza House that is centered on winning, discipline, and getting every student to fully buy into that mindset. From the beginning of the year, she has emphasized the importance of effort, accountability, and representing the house with pride. That attitude was clearly displayed in the fall when Zaragoza defeated Eveslage 1–0 to win the House Soccer Championship in a hard-fought battle that showed the team’s grit. The team was also backed in that game by a huge student section supporting them. The victory was not just about talent, but about preparation and teamwork. That same mindset has carried over into the winter season, where Zaragoza currently holds a strong 4–1 record in basketball and is once again pushing toward a championship. Players understand their roles, support one another, and give 100% every game. Beyond just the scoreboard, the culture Mrs. Boggess has created encourages leadership, unity, and a refusal to settle for average performance. By consistently promoting accountability, pride, and teamwork, she has helped build a foundation that drives Zaragoza’s continued success. Because of this culture and commitment, Zaragoza is now in a strong position to compete for the overall House Cup Championship.
