2022 House Soccer Recap

House soccer has kicked off to a speedy start with all six houses competing to earn points in hopes of eventually winning the Marianist cup at the end of the year.

Many might think that house soccer games are not intense or very serious; however, The Crusader went to the back fields during M-block to watch the houses compete against each other, and it was obvious that these games were not taken lightly. Players were slide tackling, sprinting, and ripping shots at the goalkeepers. Watching the teams compete is quite the spectacle.

The competition has just begun, with houses like Trinity and Pillar looking to turn their house soccer season around and recover from a slow start. Pillar is currently leading in the Marianist cup with Trinity on their heels in second. Both houses were able to get in this position after a great start to the year with an amazing performance in the Fall Raffle and the chalk mural competition. Trinity house captain John Pham says he has confidence in his house and believes the boys will climb up the rankings in the house soccer standings and will earn enough points to keep Trinity in the running for the Marianist cup. The house soccer playoffs will be taking place soon. Juniors and seniors without an M-Block are free to stay and watch their houses compete!
