Moeller Hockey 22' Preview
Moeller’s storied hockey program returns this year with a young but feisty team. They have already begun the season with a few huge wins!
The boys are sitting at 2-2 right now, with huge wins over St Edwards (Cleveland) and Owensboro (Kentucky). They have already seen improvement in the scoring department and have remained solid again this year on the defensive end. The Crusaders are coming off a 9-17-6 year. They had countless overtime losses and some ties to arrive at that record.
Moeller Hockey graduated five seniors last year but have brought back ten seniors this year. They are led by senior captains Adam Ganz, Stephen Adams, Griffin Gaspar, plus junior goalie Noah Smith.
The Crusaders play in the Capital Hockey Conference (CHC). This is the highly competitive league in Ohio and features teams from Cincinnati and Columbus all the way to Cleveland. This league is very impressive, and last year, Upper Arlington took the top spot. Our Moe boys look to take it back from them this year.
To all the students reading this: Do you like big hits? Do you like fights? Then hockey is your sport! Even if you can’t skate, you can still enjoy the game and walk around Northland Ice Center. Be sure to come out and support the team on these big dates:
December 3rd vs State Champs Upper Arlington
January 1st vs rival St. X
January 8th vs Columbus Power Olentangy Liberty
