Forwards Fest

What’s Forwards Fest? Forwards Fest is a new event created by one of Moeller Rugby’s assistant coaches Chad Brookbank. Forwards Fest is about getting to know more about the game of rugby, teaches fundamental skills, different techniques, and how the game of rugby is played. The whole event is to get people more involved into the game. It’s created to build the rugby family by getting as many people involved. You don’t have to be experienced or athletic to attend this event. The whole event is to get people to come out and try, I’m positive that you’ll fall in love with the sport as much as the current players do. This event is also followed by a fun event at the end of hard work to celebrate the big boys on the pitch, a special Hot Dog Eating Contest sponsered by Skyline Chili

This event will also help you get involved quickly. For freshman, transfers, and students that have been at Moeller for a long time and haven’t found the group yet. Rugby is the way to go, the brotherhood is strong. Everyone on the team supports one another, they also aren’t afraid to speak to everyone. Nobody feels unnoticed. The game of rugby is about respect and the first part of being apart of the team, creates a high level of respect.

The game of rugby will also build yourself on a higher level, each player is pushed to be the best they can be. The game is made for all shapes and sizes, the mixture of speed and size won’t determine on the impact you can make for the team. Rugby will get you in great shape, great shape means more confidence and that’s what every young man needs to become better. The event changed from January, 27th to February, 3rd in the commons. So don’t be a stranger bring a friend and enjoy the quality time with the fellas.
