A Good Start to an Even Better Lacrosse Season!

Big Moe Lacrosse started the season last Friday with a big game at Springboro High School. The team entered the game with high hopes and left with even higher hopes for the season after ending with an outstanding 10 – 6 win!

Senior Axel Carlstrand said, “I think we played pretty well. Our shooting was super good according to the stats. We had a high percentage of our shots result in goals.” Another senior Will Jones said, “Our superior face off talent resulted in more offensive possession for us, allowing us to have even more chances to score even more goals.”

Unfortunately, the team took a loss against Hamilton Southeastern High School out of Indiana. The overall game was fairly close until the third quarter when Hamilton Southeastern took control of the game with four unanswered goals. In the fourth quarter, Moeller made a late push but ultimately fell short of the win. A senior said, “I think the abundance of penalties definitely hurt us in the game, without them, we could’ve won.”

But, tonight, the Moeller Crusaders look to bounce back from the loss against the Mason Comets. The Comets are coming into this game after beating a talented Milford team 15-5. The fellas spirits are high and they are ready to beat the comets. The game is tonight (3/21/23) at Moeller at 5:30pm. Make sure you come out and support the boys and help rally them to a win!
