This year’s Track and Field team is led by seniors Tennel Bryant, Lamont Cox, Eian Hall, Jay Huelsman, Josiah Love, Nicolas Monaco, Walter Ratliff, and Nicholas Williams. Along with coaches, Frank Russo, Jason Crockett, Dave Prenger, Jim Vanatsky, Jaylan Hasan, Earnie Ross, Jay Huelsman, Daryl Thiery, and Josh Dangel, this group has seen a lot of success in recent events this year racking up five invitational wins and many individual event wins.

The first team event was at the Northwest High School Lane 4 Invitational where the Track and Field program took first place with an impressive 201 points. This event saw Tennel Bryant win the 100 and 200-meter dash, Nicholas Monaco win the 800-meter run, Maximus Maney win the 1600-meter run, and Jacob Herzog win the 3200-meter run. The team as a whole won the 4x200 meter relay and the 4x800 meter relay.

The team’s success continued in the next seven meets, including four wins at the Skyline Open, Harrison Invitational, Colerain Invitational, and Milford Invitational, as well as a second-place finish at the Bill Melloh Invitational. Moeller Track and Field also saw success in the Eastern Relays individual events where Karson Hobbs won the 100-meter dash, Jordan Marshall won the long jump, Richard Obioha won the discus and shot put, and the team won the 800-meter relay.

Moeller Senior Josiah Love said, “I am looking forward to the rest of the season and having meets with good competitors, I am also looking forward to the GCL tournament.”

Moeller’s Track and Field program has three more meets remaining until the OHSAA District Championships where they look to make a run at state.
