The Squire/Creatives Club

Want to meet some of your fellow aspiring authors at Moeller? The Squire/Creatives club might be the place for you.

The Squire/Creatives Club is a place where all writers and literary creators can go to expand their skill set! Mr. Girard, Moeller’s Writer in Residence, runs this club for students who aspire to creative writing fields in their future. You’ll leave the club with experience such as running podcasts, writing short stories, and creating political cartoons, among a variety of other creative endeavors.

One amazing opportunity within this club is to be a part of The Squire. The Squire is a literary magazine that Moeller has been publishing for over 50 years! It features works from Moeller students and can help kickstart a career in professional writing.

You would also have a chance to work with some professional writers and artists. Many professionals come and visit the club and help students with their work. To become the best, sometimes you must learn from the best. This can be a great way to sharpen your work in the field.

You are also able to create your publications with the chance of them being sold nationally. People from all over the country will have the opportunity to read your creations, and you’ll have the opportunity of representing Moeller and yourself as a certified artist.

The club meets mostly during M-blocks and sometimes before school. This club has all the tools you need to become a writer, artist, composer, and so much more! If you have more questions or have interest in joining the club, email Mr. Girard: GGirard@moeller.org.

We need Moeller Crusaders to be the future of the literary world, and the Squire/Creatives Club provides the opportunity to become just that.
