Celebrating Moeller's Winter Sports!

Moeller’s winter sports season is coming to a close, but the new season of playoffs is underway. The basketball, bowling, wrestling, and hockey teams have wrapped up their regular season and have started their state run in the playoffs. On February 22, the school gathered to celebrate the regular season successes of the teams, as well as to wish them luck as they go into tournament play.

The Moeller Basketball team finished the season with a 21-1 record. The team was awarded the title of AP Poll State Champs, solidifying Moeller as the number one team in the state. The team was undefeated in the GCL going 6-0, securing the first GCL championship since 2020. The Crusaders won their first tournament game on Thursday February 22 against Talawanda, 73-36.

The Moeller Bowling team finished with a season record of 7-12, with an average score of 909.9. The team was led by Senior Baiden Gallo, who knocked down a total of 5,012 pins. Unfortunately, the team ended its season in sectionals on February 21st.

The Moeller Wrestling team finished its season with a 5-3 record heading into the state tournament. The team started off hot with an impressive tournament win at Rumble on the River. The boys scored a total of 250.5 points ultimately receiving the first-place trophy. The team also received an impressive second place trophy in the Benjamin Logan Raider Invitational. The team had six individual champions in the tournament. Junior Londen Murphy was awarded with the title of Most Valuable Player. The team finished in first place last weekend at OHSAA Sectional Tournament at Loveland High School. Moeller Wrestlers will go to districts this weekend at Kettering Fairmont High School—good luck!

The Moeller Swim and Dive team finished 4-1 in dual meets. The team finished second place in the GCL. The team currently has eight individual swimmers going to state. looking to take home a state title.

The Speech and Debate team also had an outstanding season, with nine students qualifying for state. These students will travel to Wooster High School on Friday, March 1st to compete. The academic team was also recognized and are in the midst of a promising season.
