German Students Earn Medals in National Exam
Moeller German Students are participating in the national language exams and are stacking up awards and acknowledgments! So far in the 23-24 year, language students have won ten awards: two gold, three silver, and five bronze medals.
The national language exam is designed to test how well students are grasping material compared to others at the same level. The exam is nearing its 64th year of being nationwide, and it rewards students for learning the language while providing the teacher with assessments that show how students compare to other schools in the nation.
The test has three different versions: Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4. These levels increase as students take additional years of a language class. The test consists of one hundred multiple choice questions that assess both reading and listening comprehension, as well as writing and speaking.
The test requires students to make inferences about the genre and main purpose or message of a text. The vocab section incorporates synonym usage, phrase interpretation, and contextual definitions. After this, students are required to categorize information, detect the tone of the text, and determine the author’s point of view.
