Moeller Summer Trips

Over the summer Moeller had multiple school trips to different countries. Two of the trips that Moeller offered was the World War II trip in Europe and a Guatemala service trip. These trips had lots of different exciting sites they went to. This article will be talking about the students’ experiences and what they did during these trips.

The Guatemala trip is a great service trip Moeller offers. Lots of great stuff was said about the trip. They went to Antigua, Guatemala and did all kinds of stuff such as ziplining, horseback riding, building two houses, and hanging out with natives of Guatemala. Gabe Sargent went on this trip and loved it. I asked Gabe what his favorite part of the trip and Gabe said “I was happy to be able to help others outside of my community. It was cool to be able to hand over the keys of the house to the family living in it. I loved being immersed in the culture and I had a great time”. Gabes experience sounds amazing, and he got thirty-five gold service hours for it. This trip is a trip that you can’t miss out on.

There was lots of good stuff said about the World War II trip with Mr. Faller. The trip included visits to different European countries. The group went to different WWII sites such as Normandy Beach in France. Will Schimpf had lots of good things to say about the trip. I asked will what his favorite part of the trip was, and Will said “My favorite part of the trip was just experiencing other people’s cultures and interacting with them. I had never experienced a true language barrier with another person before and it was very unique experience that I learned a lot from.” Will had a great experience in Europe and he suggests that everyone else should try it out.

These trips are definitely trips that people should go on in the future. There are lots of great reviews about these trips. Both the trips talked about the new culture, and I feel like other people would love that. I wish I went on one of them to experience a new culture. People should take their chances on the trip and see what it is like to be immersed in a different culture.
