Best of the Past 4

The past four years at Moeller, both good and bad moments, have been unforgettable. From Crusader Games, to Moegate, to the 2022 St X game, everything has gone in the blink of an eye. The class of 2026 has arguably seen the most change during their time at Moeller, giving notable moments to remember. Many students had accounts to this, after being asked about the moments they consider “The Best of the past 4”.

1. Coming in at number one is the 2022 St. X game, in which a game winning touchdown was scored to put up 20-17 on the board with 5 seconds to go. Across the X field could be seen a sea of Gold, with water bottles and confetti flying, as everyone was ecstatic over the win.

2. Number two, “Snowmageddon ’25”, was the circumstance that rendered Moeller in a tundra-like state. Classes were cancelled for nearly an entire week, as students took to their consoles and phones. As if one snow day couldn’t get any better, students were delighted to hear yet another call from Shaffer citing “Moeller High School will be closed tomorrow”. Then another. Then another. Suddenly it was Friday and the entire workweek had been saved by mother nature. At the end, almost two feet of snow lay on the ground, leaving piles to sit for weeks, and students refreshed after their unexpected break.

3. Number three, the second semester of senior year. Whoever has thought to imagined high school to be as a kid, this is what it feels like to them. Almost all are ready to leave and get out, while there remains a sense of finality for us. Minecraft realms, nights spent on facetimes, bonfires, are all starting to become more prevalent. On top of that, ice cream at lunch was a huge plus.

As the Class of ‘26 takes in their final days at Moeller, these events have certified their mark. The mark of a Moeller experience has been made on these brothers for a lifetime, as these past four years were some of the greatest ever.
