In 8th grade I was one of the best at infection tag. We played infection every recess for 8 years at St. Gertrude, and by the end of 8 years, I was good at it. I would run and juke my way out of encounters with multiple attackers across the blacktop, playground, and field. It didn’t stop at school, after I was done running and laughing my way around my grade school I came home and did it all again on my bike in my neighborhood. I would leave my home to ride my bike around with my friends all evening until I came from creeking, playing, running and laughing, all day long.

At Moeller, I was not the same kid. Class sizes changed from the comfortable and homey 33 kids to a grand class of 250 strangers. I tried out for soccer for my first 2 years and got cut in both of those 2 years. However as Junior year rolled around, I finally began to grow a little. I became an artist, by multiple degrees. I took the AP Art class and some of my work made it into showcases for our art department. I started photography, where I’ve taken thousands of photos for our athletes and social media. I began to learn guitar and harmonica, where I attempted to extend my creative abilities into music. Those 3 hobbies have defined much of who I am now, and all those opportunities came through Moeller.

On December 30th of 2025 the project was finally complete. “Moeller Football: The Brotherhood,” is an 8 part video documentary that follows the crusader football season through it’s highs and lows. Me and a friend completed this project over the span of just under a year, sacrificing time and opportunity to create something great. The release day was surreal, the hours of work were finally realized and made public. Reviews came in from students, staff, parents, and alumnus. Everybody loves it.

I plan to attend the University of Cincinnati and continue photography as a member of Bearcats Digital, the media production intern group at UC. I would like to expand the standard for creative content, especially in sports. However, beyond sports I want to challenge myself creatively in multiple other ways. I intend to enter the documentary for an emmy. I intend to start a band. I intend to be the best photographer at UC by the end of my four years. I intend to branch out in my photography, experimenting with portraits, weddings, events, and other new areas.
