This year, the Moeller Calvary has taken a big step. Led by Jimmy Juergens and James Reginelli, the Calvary has had success throughout the first eight weeks of the football season. The Calvary’s role is to create excitement, make noise, and keep the crowds hyped at football games.

Other members of the Calvary include Sam Klosterman, Drew Reinhold, Brady Cameron, Donovan Mukes, Bo Fehrenbach, Griffin Gasper, and Sean Walters. After the unfortunate year the Calvary had in 21-22, the group has bounced back this year and are getting the student section excited at every game.

The Crusader interviewed Jimmy Juergens to get his thoughts on the Calvary this year. He said, “The Calvary is going great this year. We take it seriously and want to make every game great, not just for the players, but for the students too.” Juergens also said that he has learned from the mistakes from last year and has grown to become better from them. Lastly, we asked him what his plans for the rest of the year are, and he said that he doesn’t want to give away too many themes and hype videos, but they have some special things coming soon.

The Crusader also interviewed the other head Calvary leader, James Reginelli. He said, “The Calvary is going great, we have a great squad of guys and I think we have been making quality videos and leading the student section well…. This year we have been rolling and the environment is a bunch of hype and encouragement.” James has been the main guy incorporated with the videos. He is always one of the main characters in the videos and he edits them. They are very good hype videos because they are very funny and James edits them well. One thing he does think they could improve on is, “to get the back half of our student section cheering the entire time.” He said that they accomplish that, then they will be way louder and it will be a even greater environment.
