MOECO 22' Returns to The 'Brisben'

After a year long hiatus from the Brisben Center, Moeller Homecoming returns this Saturday, October 1st. The chance for Moeller students and their guests to hit the gym floor to dance and have the time of their lives is finally back and better than ever.

Moeller expects a huge turnout this year, and once again, there will be two separate dances. The freshman and sophomore dance will run from 6-8pm and the juniors and senior dance from 8:30-10:30pm. This is a semi-formal event, meaning Moeller students should wear dress pants, a dress shirt, and a tie. Girls should wear dresses or skirts (not too tight)!

It will be a great night, but keep in mind that the dance is held at school, so school rules apply. There will be random breathalyzing at the door to ensure a safe and fun night for all. Mr. Graham directs homecoming, and his goal is for the dance to be a fun time to blow off steam in a safe and healthy environment.

Homecoming court will include representatives from each house. Quiroqa, for example, will be represented by Mathew Seliga, as voted on by the seniors in the house. Each house’s seniors took the time last week to vote for their own Homecoming court representative. The whole senior class will have the chance to vote on our Homecoming King.

Coming back to the gym this year, will bring an exciting time back to Moeller. The last time there was a homecoming in Moeller’s building, the current seniors were only freshman. It was a sweaty, loud, and exciting dance. This year’s senior class is excited for the dance to return to the gym, and they look forward to the other classes getting to enjoy the experience. Current seniors likely have memories of Jordan Laake winning homecoming court and being raised into the air as the “King of the Court!” As always, there were many amazing memories and everyone is excited to make tons of new ones this year!

Lastly, as always, there will be a football game the night before. It will be the game of the year this Friday the 26th as our #1 state ranked Crusaders face the #4 team in the state, the Elder Panthers. The game will be at Nippert this Friday and everyone should come watch the boys hunt down some Panthers!
