Senior Football Night

On October 7th, Moeller Football celebrated its senior class with special acknowledgements and recognitions.

Before the game, senior football players honored and thanked their parents in a brief ceremony. Each senior from the team gave roses to their parents, who were recognized on the field. Parents often make sacrifices to give their children the opportunity to play sports, from driving to games and practices to enrolling kids in extra camps and clinics. The parents clearly glowed during this part of the evening.

There was also one more notable difference at the Senior Night game aside from the parents’ ceremony at the beginning. The theme for the night was to dress like construction workers to get hyped up for the Crusaders and to support the team. Students from Moeller had to wear attire that resembled the likes of a construction worker to fulfill the theme of Moeller’s side. Primarily, the main color that was needed to be worn was orange. Even if the student didn’t have any construction worker clothes, they could always settle for wearing something orange at the bare minimum. Students across the Moeller student body wore construction worker like outfits in reflection of the main theme for the game.

The senior night game against St. Ignatius High School resulted in another win for the Crusaders, with a final score of 47-7.
