"Moe-Co" 2023!

On September 23rd, the Moeller Crusaders enjoyed a night of fun at the Homecoming Dance. With the freshman/sophomore dance kicking off the night, followed by the junior/senior dance, the Crusaders and their dates got to enjoy a night of music, ice cream, and fun.

For most, the homecoming night started before the dance. Many Moeller students, along with their dates, gathered in groups, got their pictures taken, and went to dinner before attending the dance.

The Homecoming Dance is the first school dance of the year. It is traditionally held in the Moeller gym, decorated for the occasion with lights, balloons, and more. In addition to the music and dancing, there were other activities such as free ice cream outside and college football games inside.

At the end of the dance, it was time for the homecoming king to be announced. For Moeller Homecoming King, each house votes for one representative to run for the recognition. Once each house selects a representative, the Moeller senior body then votes on whom they would like to be the homecoming king. This year’s nominees were Eveslage’s Kyle Havens, Pillar’s Carson Holt, Quiroga’s Angus Ellis, Trinity’s Aiden Kennedy, Zaragoza’s Brody Leach, and Zehler’s Jacob Herzog. This year’s Moeller Homecoming King was Angus Ellis of Quiroga House!

It’s safe to say that this year’s Moeller Homecoming Dance was a success. When senior, Brennan Arnold, was asked about the dance, he had only good things to say. “I had a really good time. The music was good, and I really enjoyed being able to spend the night with my friends.”

Thanks to all the faculty, staff, and chaperones that made the Homecoming a success!
